Burdock root tea is an effective part of any woman’s skincare regime because it nourishes your skin from the inside.
The majority of skin problems, such as acne, eczema and dermatitis, have their origin beneath the skin. That’s where your skincare regime needs to start. The simple act of drinking 2 to 3 cups of burdock tea a day purifies your blood. And there are studies to prove that cleaner blood means clearer skin.
There’s also an added bonus for women who have a problem with fluid retention. As burdock root is a natural diuretic, it clears up problem skin and helps to reduce water weight.

WHAT IS BURDOCK ROOT? Burdock is a plant that is native to northern Asia and Europe. It can grow up to 70 cm tall and has long, deep-growing roots that can be any shade of brown, to black. They produce prickly heads of hooked burrs which often get caught in animal fur and human clothing. Scientific evidence has shown burdock root to have active ingredients that remove toxins from the blood. Coupled with the fact it is a natural diuretic, this means the blood is both cleansed, and these unwanted toxins are flushed out of the body. A secondary benefit of this is reduced water retention and clearer, smoother skin. |
