- Organic Turmeric Cut (curcuma)
Turmeric is a member of the ginger family, so already you know it’s going to be good for your health.
It contains B Vitamins, Vitamin A, minerals and the powerful antioxidants beta-carotene and curcumin. Both of these flavonoids provide several health benefits, the main one of which is reduced inflammation.
Curcumin, the main chemical in turmeric and the agent that gives it its gorgeous, rich golden colour, works by inhibiting the production of PGE2, which sensitizes neurons to pain and depletes substance P, a neurotransmitter that transmits pain messages to your brain.
In this way it protects your body from feeling the pain associated with arthritis and other joint pain.
This wonderful antioxidant also stimulates bile production which aids in digestion, eases indigestion and reduces flatulence.
A cup after each meal will go a long way to ensure your food is digested properly, without any discomfort.
- Turmeric has no fat, no sugar and no caffeine.
- In small amounts it is safe for pregnant women to drink.
- Do not exceed two cups per day.
