Drinking a cup of Mountain Pepper tea is like providing the inside of the body with a protective, healing coating.
High in nutrients and antioxidants, Mountain Pepper tea gives the body a massive injection of vitamins and minerals. Working together, these goodies protect against cell damage – great for preventing premature aging – and help maintain blood sugar levels.
Perhaps a new kid on the block, but what an entrance! Research has shown that Mountain Pepper, also known as Tasmanian pepper leaf, contains higher quantities of nutrients than even some of our favourite vegetables.
As the name might suggest, the flavour of Tasmanian Pepper Leaf is earthy and peppery, with warming hints of cinnamon, and a subtle spicy aftertaste.
- Mountain Pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata)
Mountain Pepper contains strong antioxidants which fight free radicals and help keep cells healthy and alive. This has the secondary effect of fighting premature aging of the skin.
It has potent antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which make it ideal for topical treatments.
This tea can be consumed at any time of the day or night, although first thing in the morning on an empty stomach allows more of the nutrients to be absorbed.
The crushed leaves can also be used as a delicious flavouring in foods and sauces.
- Drink up to 1–3 cups a day.
- Pregnant women can drink Tasmanian pepper leaf tea, but check with your doctor first.

It's a taste I think I'll have to get used to. I bought it to improve the condition of my skin. I'm trying to go all herbal and natural
I've just bought my first packet. Interesting taste. Very warming. I do notice a slight improvement in the condition of my skin, but I've only been drinking it for a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements after a month. Am taking photos
An interestingly flavoured tea. I find it a nice warming drink. One to make when you're coming in from the cold
